Brief Description

This position is responsible for researching and analyzing incoming hearing requests, determining proper procedures to follow, creating supporting documentation, processing claims on final determinations and updating the Hearing database.

Detailed Description
  • Researches hearing requests and obtains additional information, if needed.
  • Analyzes documentation and makes a determination on how to proceed to provide a case reevaluation.
  • Creates documentation supporting the determination including letters and Position Statements.
  • Processes Claims and TARs based on the final determination.
  • Update the Hearing database.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Job Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training or experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years related experience
  • Detail-oriented; flexible and creative.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow-up on commitments on a timely basis, adhere to deadlines, and be a strong team player.
  • Knowledge of Denti-Cal program and policies and Hearing procedures.
  • PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); proficiency in InDesign preferred.
  • Regularly required to work standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, fax machine, etc.).
  • Ability to work on a computer up to 7 hours a day.
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.
  • Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment.
  • Close vision required for computer usage.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain consistent, regular attendance.
  • Ability to report to perform tasks in a physical work office environment.
  • Ability to clearly present written information and findings.
  • Ability to communicate concepts, policies and processes to all levels.
  • Ability to interact well with co-workers and outside contacts.
